This area (Nohata) holds immense historical importance as it was formerly the capital of the Chandel Dynasty rulers.

The tirth houses incredibly ancient idols dating back to the 4th, 5th, and 10th centuries. These statues stand as a testament to the rich Jain heritage that flourished in the Bundelkhand region over a millennium ago.

Bhagwan Adinath

The Mulnayak (main deity) of the Kshetra. A magnificent idol of the first Tirthankara, Lord Rishabhanatha (Adishwar), seated in the Padmasana (lotus) posture.

Bhagwan Mahavira

The Kshetra features two ancient idols of the 24th Tirthankara, Lord Mahavira. These are in the Khadgasana (standing) posture, reflecting deep austerity.

The Revival (1998)

In 1998, with the blessings of Acharya Shri Vidyasagar Ji Maharaj, his disciple Muni Shri Mardav Sagar Ji arrived here. Under their guidance, the renovation and development of this forgotten pilgrimage site began.
