Contribution

Prabhachandra wrote the Nyayakumudachandra, a major commentary on Akalanka's logical work, and the Prameyakamalamartanda, both landmark texts of what historians of Indian philosophy call its "ultralogical period." He also compiled biographical accounts of earlier Jain monks.

Life

A Digambar monk whose broader philosophical outlook, as noted by later historians, denied genuine moral intensity of action to women — a position out of step with how this site otherwise presents the standing of women in Jain tradition, and stated here as a documented historical fact about the author, not endorsed.

Legacy

His Prameyakamalamartanda remains central to modern study of medieval Jain epistemology alongside contemporaneous Hindu and Buddhist logical works.
