Help keep Jain knowledge free

The panchang, the festival guides, the card maker and the quiz are free and always will be. They are kept running by patrons — 10 so far.

In short

Prabhavana means spreading the light of the Dharma. This site carries no paid advertising in its content and charges for nothing. It is kept running by patrons who contribute what they can, by UPI, from ₹100.

Where your contribution goes

  • Hosting and the domain — the server, backups and the certificate that keep the site standing during Paryushan, when traffic peaks.
  • Writing and checking content — festival dates verified against panchangs, prayers transcribed and proofread, explainers researched rather than copied.
  • The free tools — the card maker, the panchang calculator, the baby-name finder, the quiz. None of them charge, and none of them will.

A community effort, not a business. Nobody draws a salary from what is given here, and no contribution buys influence over what the site says.

Questions

Can I give without my name being shown?

Yes — there is a box on the form. Guptdaan, giving without being named, is a respected practice. Your contribution is recorded and thanked either way.

How soon does my name appear?

After we check the payment against our own statement. Every contribution is verified by a person before a name is added, so the wall stays accurate. It is usually a day or two.

What if I paid but something went wrong?

Keep your reference number — it is shown after you submit and emailed to you. Write to us with it and we will find the payment.
