Significance
Girnarji, near Junagadh in Gujarat, is revered as the site where Neminatha, the twenty-second Tirthankara, attained kevalgyan (omniscience) and later moksha. Both Digambar and Shwetambar traditions hold the hill sacred, and both maintain temples on it.
History
Girnar is one of the older Jain pilgrimage sites in continuous use, with temple inscriptions and structures spanning many centuries. The hill rises in a series of peaks, with the main cluster of Jain temples situated partway up, below the higher summits.

How to reach
Junagadh district, Gujarat
Junagadh has a railway station and is well connected by road. The climb to the main Jain temple cluster involves several thousand stone steps; porters and palanquins are available at the base.
Darshan timings
Most pilgrims begin the climb early in the morning to avoid the heat and to allow time for darshan at the temples before descending.
