Why "2083-2084" and not just "2083"? This panchang follows the Gujarati Kartik-Adi reckoning, where the Vikram Samvat year begins at Kartik Sud 1 (the day after Diwali), not at Chaitra Sud 1. Because Kartik falls in the Gregorian month of November, the year runs from late 2026 into the following year — which is why it is written "2083-2084", the same way a fiscal year spanning two calendar years is written.
Shwetambar tradition. This panchang follows the Shwetambar Jain tradition specifically — tithi reckoning, kalyanak dates and observances can differ from the Digambar panchang, which is a separate, clearly labelled calendar.
What's in it. Every month has the full sud/vad tithi grid (with kshay and vriddhi noted exactly as the panchang prints them), kalyanak and punyatithi dates, and the auspicious/inauspicious periods — Pushya Nakshatra, Panchak, Vinchudo and Rohini.
Paryushan dates, Micchami Dukkadam reminders and new teachings. A few messages a month at most.
